Throughout the summer I did a survey by asking my friends and family and even total strangers what their favourite horror movies were and why so I could use this information to help produce my short horror film. This has been effective for me because I got to hear what most people like seeing in scary movies so I could also insert some of these things in to mine.

As you may have heard, most of the people i recorder seemed to like the films Insidious and The Conjusring. This is helpful for me because my sub-genre is child horror and both of these films include children in them so I could get a few tips off of them.
