Radio Trailer For Oculus

As I could not find the perfect radio trailer for horror films I have decided to use the sound from the original video trailers without looking at it to analyse as a radio trailer.

The trailer for 'Oculus' started off with ambient music to straight away scare the consumers.
You also hear very creepy breathing sounds which could start to make the consumers a bit uncomfortable as it does not sound human like.
The constant static sound effect could add more effect to the fear the audience feel already because it gives the impression some technological objects are being used. The audience could compare this to the very popular horror film 'Paranormaal Activity' because they character also use cameras in that film.

The dialogue also has a massive impact on the audience as it gives them an idea of what the characters are like and what they could be up against in the film since they cannot see all of that through a radio trailer. The woman at the beginning says "Hello again. You must be hungry?" This could indicate to the audience that she has met someone again after a very long time and she sounds quite relieved to have met them again. Later on in the trailer the same woman says "I found it... we only have a few days to keep our promise and kill it" This then makes clear to the audience that at the start the woman was not talking to a person, she was talking to an object. The fact that she says kill it suggests to the audience that the object has created some sort of problem for her because of which she now wants to destroy it. This makes the audience want to find what exactly happened to her and since the trailer does not give that away, they are more likely to go and watch the film when it comes out.
